JOB SUMMARY:
A mentorship experience that gives a student an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a business environment.
This internship experience will give the student’s practical hand’s on experience in assisting with analyzing, designing, programing, configuring, and testing computer software programs and business applications.
ESSSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:
Work closely with Scrum Teams to do the following:
Build, support, and maintain existing and new IT software applications
Create or update user stories to support software design concepts
Build Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for the exchange of data
Build continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for the automation of code deployments
Build automated test scripts that demonstrates the working quality of the software solutions
Build automated infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code methodologies
Work as part of a team to develop conceptual designs to aid in the development process
Participate in product evaluations and scrum sprint reviews to better understand the needs of the customer
SECONDARY DUTIES:
Engaging and supporting the Software Development team while gaining exposure to the entire Midmark organization, applying classroom experiences in real world application.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Enrollment in a 4-year accredited program working toward a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related engineering field
Working knowledge of one or more programming languages (e.
g.
, C#, Java, Python, .
Net, etc.
)
Experience with data storage and query services (e.
g.
, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Mongo DB, NoSQL, Cosmos DB, etc.
)
Experience with API development & JSON is preferred
Familiarity with Azure services, secure coding practices, or infrastructure as code is preferred
COMPETENCY/SKILLS:
