Quality Engineer

*GECOM needs you for one of the most important positions in the company!* *Position Summary* Work as liason between internal departments at GECOM and the end customer.
Manage all quality functions related to customer satisfaction.
Ensure that all products and processes meet Gecom Quality system requirements.
*Essential Functions* Perform audits of processes and finished product.
Respond to quality issues/concerns from GECOM assembly areas and customers.
Maintain quality documents for mass production.
Responsible for ensuring customer requirements are met.
Support customer service area and visit customer plants to review quality concerns.
Recommend short term and long-term countermeasures.
Present Quality data to senior management.
Travel, both domestic and international, up to 25% of the time.
Responsible for conformity to product requirements with the authority to stop production and shipments in order to correct quality problems.
Document customer complaints and drive closure of customer issues.
Participate in APQP activities.
Maintain and monitor all aspects of customer quality.
Monitor design change process.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
Complete additional tasks and assignments given by Supervisor/Manager.
Consistent and regular attendance.
*Competencies* Bachelor degree in Engineering or high school diploma/GED and 3+ years manufacturing quality experience.
