Overview of Responsibilities:
Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Epic training programs for all clinical and non-clinical staff across the organization.
Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for EMR optimization, aligned with the CIO Vision of EMRSystems' vision and enterprise wide EMR
Leads and directs all clinical and non-clinical applications support teams.
Acts as a change agent driving continual system optimization.
Translates clinical and business needs into actionable IT deliverables.
Prepares and manages capital and operating budgets, overseeing team labor and productivity.
Reviews, negotiates, and administers contracts, policies, procedures, and processes as required.
Collaborates with Reid Health’s operational leaders to ensure strategic alignment, operational transparency, escalation management, and expectation setting.
Advances participation in industry benchmarking programs such as the Epic Honor Roll and Gold Stars.
Coordinates the planning, installation, training, implementation, and support of new Epic modules.
Develops, implements, and maintains Epic applications; develops EMR strategic plans and projects that align with and enhance Reid Health’s business strategies.
Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all applications development, including enhancements and maintenance projects in conjunction with customer requirements.
Develops, implements, updates, and maintains applications development policies, standards, and procedures to improve quality and productivity.
Works with leadership in the selection, design, implementation, and administration of all EMR applications, including application configuration, data integration, reporting, and operational support.
Manages the effective assignment and utilization of staff and resources required to successfully deliver Epic projects approved by the ICAG Committee.
Responsible for the creation and delivery of Information Services presentations as requested by the CIO.
Provides timely progress reports on both operational and strategic initiatives.
Education/Experience:
Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business, or a related field.
Education Preferred: Extensive experience in application management, with a focus on Epic EHR.
