Our Coatings group is a global expert in the development, production, and marketing of coatings and solutions serving the OEM's and collision industries.
As an Operations Engineer you'll focus on day-to-day operation of the tank farms and supported processes.
This role also acts as Manufacturing Representative for area capital and maintenance projects ensuring projects meet cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
Our plant is located outside of Dayton in Greenville, OH and runs 24/7.
As an Operations Engineer, you create chemistry by…
Partnering with the Production Supervisor to maintain safe operation and reliability of the plant
Providing technical support and troubleshooting expertise as area issues arise
Generating & completing Management of Change documents (MOCs)
Providing technical and leadership support in root cause failure analysis for production, EHS, and quality incidents
Leading Process Hazards Analyses (PHA)
Demonstrating strong understanding of Process Safety Concepts and proper application to create an inherently safer operation
Leading projects to debottleneck equipment and processes to improve area performance
Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Your formula for success…
BS degree in Engineering
3-7 years of experience in chemical unit operations or manufacturing capital project execution
Have/able to develop a good working knowledge of the site reactions, equipment, and processes
Strong written and verbal communication, leadership, analytical/problem solving and organization skills
Knowledge or ability to develop a working knowledge of PSM and RMP requirements
Strong computer skills, with SAP knowledge a plus
