POSITION SUMMARY
Performs manual tasks in make-ready, maintenance, and during the production run, as assigned by the first pressman.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists the pressman during make-ready and run.
Takes charge of the press operation if the pressman needs to leave the press area for any reason.
Maintains the correct ink level in the fountain according to the length of the run.
Monitors the coating when required on a regular basis and keeps the viscosity at the proper reading.
Monitors the water on each printing unit during the run and maintains the proper pH, fountain etch
concentrate, alcohol, or alcohol substitute in the solution.
Gives direction and help to the feeder operator as necessary.
Performs preventative maintenance on the press such as lubrication, replacement of small parts, cleaning, replacing and setting roller adjustments and other moving parts as required.
Assists on wash-up to speed up make-ready.
Performs other tasks as may be required or requested.
Keeps sheets in register and on color as assigned by the First Pressman.

Incumbent must be a team participant.
Must have the ability to communicate verbally and work well with others.
Must meet Company standards on attendance and punctuality and maintain Company policy on work rules and safety.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or G.

D.
and able to pass a color blindness test.
Must have a good knowledge of color as it related to printing.
Must be able to read, understand and follow written instructions.
Must have good knowledge of press operations and functions and an understanding of prepress functions.
